UNITY CLUB TAKES THE STAGE AT WASHINGTON'S PREMIER UKRAINE FORUM
Washington, D.C., June 18, 2025
At a pivotal moment in Ukraine's modern history, the Unity Club participated in the 13th Annual US-UA Working Group Yearly Summit, a high-level international forum convened to assess Ukraine's progress amidst the ongoing war. Hosted at The University Club in Washington, D.C., this year's summit gathered over two dozen prominent speakers and key stakeholders from government, civil society, the private sector, and the Ukrainian diaspora, representing Ukraine, the U.S., Canada, and the EU.
The Unity Club delegation, led by its founder and Chairman Mr. Pavel Chumak, held a series of strategic meetings with U.S. ambassadors, members of Congress, policy makers, and Ukrainian-American leaders. These dialogues focused on charting a viable path for Ukraine's reconstruction-both as a resilient democracy and a forward-looking economy.
This annual summit, themed "Providing Ukraine with an Annual Report Card Amidst War," structured its evaluation around six pillars critical to statehood and recovery: democratic governance, mature market economics, energy security, general security, social cohesion, and a cohesive national identity.

Mr. Chumak delivered a focused and pragmatic vision during a Highlight Focus Session titled "Why a Free, Stable & Prosperous Ukraine At Peace With Neighbors Matters – UA Private Sector View." Drawing on his extensive experience as an entrepreneur and philanthropist, he emphasized the urgency of building a modern industrial economy, fostering U.S.-Ukrainian investment partnerships, and ensuring the transparent reform of Ukraine's regulatory and anti-corruption frameworks.
"Ukraine's future lies in technology, strategic resource development, and international cooperation. With the right reforms, low taxation, and simple rules, we can bring millions of Ukrainians home and attract global investors. Together, we can build a peaceful, democratic, and prosperous Ukraine."
— Mr. Pavel Chumak, Founder and Chairman of Unity Club
A particularly compelling portion of his address outlined strategic cooperation in the energy and transportation sectors, including plans to revive U.S.-backed locomotive production and modular nuclear reactor technology, alongside a new industrial cluster around the Berezan Port on the Black Sea.
